My Philosophy and Approach
Every music student already has their own
unique music inside them. Lessons should
unlock this music from the inside out.
The guitar is a wonderful instrument, but
YOU are the musician. Learn to connect
your heart with the music you make.
Learning to read the songs you play like
they're a book allows you to have a
"conversation" with any songwriter you
admire or wish to emulate. Figure out
the meaning of the book for yourself!

Succeeding with guitar lessons is really
like walking a tightrope...it's a balancing
act. A teacher can't walk the rope for you,
but he or she can help you develop your
own inner sense of gravity.
Music is the gift we give to ourselves,
as well as to each other.
